The Notre Dame Migration Research Conference brings together a global network of scholars to share cutting-edge research and foster an interdisciplinary dialogue on the causes, experiences, and consequences of human mobility. Convening in Mexico City — a vital global crossroads of migration — this year’s conference grounds its academic rigor in the realities of human rights, systemic inequality, and poverty. In alignment with the social justice mission of the Catholic Church, our dialogue emphasizes the inherent dignity of vulnerable and displaced populations, evaluating how states, institutions, and civil society respond to displacement in ways that protect human rights and advance human flourishing.
