Liz joined the Franco Institute as a graduate assistant in 2026 and works with both the outreach and grants teams. She is a Ph.D. candidate in the department of sociology, where she studies the growing movement around censoring books in schools and public libraries. Liz received her MA in sociology from Notre Dame in 2022, and her BA in sociology with a minor in education from Tufts University in 2020.
She has conducted research on schools and political engagement, gender and interactions, and student organizations that foster political activism. She was a Graduate Justice Fellow at the Institute for Social Concerns in 2023, and her research interests include social movements, gender, and education.
